Testimonials

JoLynn is the angel our family needed. Her knowledge, genuine care, and love for teaching sets her apart from most educators. My daughter has always struggled with reading and writing.  As her first grade teacher, JoLynn’s approach, careful assessment and technique were a perfect fit for our daughter, allowing her to thrive and improve every month. By school year’s end, she was close to reading and writing at grade level, something I didn’t think possible.  JoLynn dedicated extra time with our daughter to identify and close her reading and writing gaps.  JoLynn guided us through the consideration of, testing for, and confirmed diagnosis of dyslexia.  She continues to tutor our daughter twice a week, providing an environment of love, learning and encouragement. No doubt this is why our daughter never complains about having to stay after school.  We have watched our daughter gain confidence and tools to help her do hard things. I will be forever grateful to JoLynn for seeing in our daughter what others did not and believing that there was more to be done.

We can't say enough about JoLynn as a teacher and a tutor. Her expertise and her passion for reading, combined with the utilization of the Orton-Gillingham Methodology, has not only taught our kiddo how to read but given him the tools to excel in reading where the public school curriculum has left him behind. He is now reading at grade level and is gaining confidence every day with his spelling & comprehension.

We cannot thank JoLynn enough for all of her help with our daughter. With JoLynn's guidance, she has grown so much as a student and in her reading skils. The support JoLynn gave our family is priceless.

When we found JoLynn our daughter was struggling with reading and confidence. With a new diagnosis of dyslexia, I was struggling to give her the support she needed. JoLynn has been able to give her the tools she needed to not only be successful at school, but get back her confidence. Our daughter now volunteers to read at school and in church where she never would have done so before.
